The H1N1 virus (swine flu) is a new flu virus strain that is causing illnesses in humans worldwide

Fever (above 100.4) Cough Sore throat Runny or stuffy nose Headache Chills Muscle aches Fatigue Diarrhea Vomiting

Earliest forms of H1N1 were found in pigs. Hence, “swine” flu. It mutated over time and then humans became vulnerable to swine flu. Our immune systems cannot fight it well. Ages 5-24 have gotten the most reports of having it. If a person with the flu is coughing or sneezing into the air that people breath the other people can get infected. If someone has touched something that everybody else uses those people can get it from touching their, eyes, nose, and mouth. If you touch the mucus of the person with the H1N1 virus while taking care of them.

There were supposedly 44,640 cases of H1NI across America. The amount of deaths is 10,837. Louisiana had about 232 cases and 41 deaths.

Pneumonia Respiratory Failure And even…

The H1N1 Vaccine. Get plenty of rest. Drink clear liquids like, Gatorade, water, and electrolyte beverages. Watch out for emergency warning signs.

Cover your mouth or nose with tissue when you sneeze. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 15 seconds. Use hand sanitizer after you touch things in public. Steer clear of touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, to help prevention. Stay away from sick people. If you do get sick stay home from school for at least 7 days and maybe wait 24-hours to see if all symptoms have gone away. Where a facemask in your home if somebody in it has gotten sick.
