CDIO Overview Explains the motivation and need for engineering education reform and the goals, vision, and pedagogical foundation of CDIO. Describes the key characteristics of a CDIO program. Daryl Boden – 11.15Break – Curriculum and Course Design Describes the content, structure, and rationale of the CDIO Syllabus. Explains curriculum structure, learning outcomes, and the mapping, sequencing, and integration of CDIO knowledge and skills. Gives examples from CDIO programs.. Kristina Edström – 13.45Finger Lunch

Gives examples of how leanring spaces can be re-tasked to support a CDIO approach. Daryl Boden – 15.45Break – Engaging Students in Their Learning Gives examples of active and experiential learning methods that have been shown to be effective in CDIO programs.
