GLAST LAT Project TKR Tower 4 and 5 hand-off review – June 8,2005 Hiro Tajima, TKR Tower 4 and 5 hand-ff review 7 NCR 516 for Tower 4 Tower 4 failed to read out data from GTFEs in clock/DVDD margin tests. –All layers duty cycle 58% –Layer Y4 low side duty cycle = 54 and 55%. –Layer Y4 low side f = 22 MHz. –Layer Y4 low side and Y1 high DVDD = 2.46 V (setting was 2.5 V) Margin tests performed for all MCMs during burn-in and final test process. (No margin test in Italy.) Only possible fix: send tower back to Italy and replace Y4. Recommendation: Use it as is. –It works perfectly at nominal duty cycle with 3% margin. –It can readout all GTFE from high side on Y4 at 55% duty cycle.
GLAST LAT Project TKR Tower 4 and 5 hand-off review – June 8,2005 Hiro Tajima, TKR Tower 4 and 5 hand-ff review 8 Other Anomalies TE701 (Trigger Jitter test) failure on both towers. –This is an issue of requirement interpretation. –Working with trigger group to define clear requirement. Fit non-convergence for noise and gain test. –Known issue from Italy. –65 channels on Layer Y13, Tower 4 are affected. –These channels are confirmed to be functioning. Tower 5 failed clock duty cycle margin 58%. –It passed at 55% (within specification) Tower 5 passed noise and gain test. –Past 6 towers all failed this test.
