Analysis Meeting 26 Sept 05T. Burnett1 UW classification: background rejection (A summary – details at a future meeting)

Analysis Meeting 26 Sept 05T. Burnett2 Ingredients 5M allgamma from v7r0p2 (SLAC farm) –allGamma-GR-v7r0p2-merit-TKR-prune.root –Used for “goodCal” and “gamma” training DC2 background: 5% of a day from v7r0p2 (UW farm) –4% used for training –1% for test Packages classifier and GlastClassify : perform the training, save the resulting decision trees. –Current GR HEAD tag has all the above trees. Package merit : apply above trees to define the CT tuple variables: CTgoodCal, CTvertex, CTgoodPsf, CTgamma –special application run_classification calculates and replaces these variables in an existing ROOT file

Analysis Meeting 26 Sept 05T. Burnett3 Classification

Analysis Meeting 26 Sept 05T. Burnett4 Efficiency: relate to Aeff Top plot: the purity distribution. Bottom plot: acceptance for: all events; purity>0.96; purity>0.99
