OPENER PRINCIPLE 1 CUSTOMER-CENTRICITY Organizations depend on their customers and therefore should be proactive in understanding current and future customer needs, meeting customer requirements, and striving to exceed customer expectations.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 2 LEADERSHIP Establishes unity of purpose & direction of the organization. Leaders must create and maintain a permissive and non- punitive internal environment in which every employee can become fully involved in, and committed to achieving the organization's objectives.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 3 ENGENDERING THE COMMITMENT & INVOLVEMENT OF PEOPLE Employees, at all levels, are the essence of an organization and their full involvement and commitment enables their abilities to be optimally applied for the organization's benefit.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 4 PROCESS APPROACH TO OUTCOMES A desired result is achieved more efficiently when resources and activities are managed as a process, and not as a haphazard set of circumstances.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 5 SYSTEM APPROACH TO MANAGEMENT Identifying, understanding, and managing a system of interrelated processes for a given objective improves the organization's effectiveness and efficiency.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 6 CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Continuous improvement is a practiced philosophy and should be the permanent objective of the organization.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 7 FACTUAL APPROACH TO DECISION MAKING Effective decisions and actions are based on the analysis of appropriate, timeous and relevant data and the application of the knowledge acquired.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 8 MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS An organization and its suppliers are inter-dependent, and a mutually beneficial relationship enhances the ability to create sustained value.

OPENER PRINCIPLE 9 GREG’s REALISM'S 1. People work for MONEY - Job satisfaction is a bonus 2. There are absolutely no friends in Business 3. You never, ever, ever get anything for FREE 4. If you think people owe you something, think again 5. You’re not automatically indispensable, you need to work hard at cementing yourself into the “brickwork” of your organization 6. When everybody in the room is wrong and you’re the only one right – THEN YOU’RE WRONG!!!

OPENER PRINCIPLE 10 TRUISM 10% WILL NEVER 10% WILL ALWAYS REMAINING 80% GIVEN THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY - WILL!!! THE HONESTY CONTINUUM
