Product Overview MA5680T provides GPON access to satisfy the requirements for: Data, voice and video services with large capacity, high bit rate, and high bandwidth over a single fiber to satisfy customized requirements. High-bandwidth and long-reach access to overcome the obstacles of large-scale access coverage. Hardware Architecture The MA5680T cabinet is front access. It measures 600 mm x 300 mm x 2200 mm (W x D x H). An MA5680T cabinet can hold up to three service shelves to provide up to 96 GPON ports. With the 1:64 split ratio, a cabinet can connect to up to 6144 ONUs/ONTs. The service shelf:Is front access, containing a 1U fan tray.Measures 530 mm × 275.8 mm × 447.2 mm (W x D x H).Provides 20 slots. Page 10

Shelf Layout Slots 1–8 and 11–18 are for the service boards. Slots 9 and 10 are for the main control boards (SCU boards). The rightmost consists of two parts. The upper part (slot 19) and the lower part (slot 20) are general interface slots (GIU) to provide uplink ports. Page 11

Logic Architecture Main Control Module This module consists of the SCU board and related software Service Access Module This module consists of the GPBA board and related software Upstream Interface Module This module consists of the uplink interface boards (GICD, GICE and X1CA) and related software Environment Monitoring Module This module consists of the environment monitoring unit and the fan monitoring unit to monitor various parameters Main Control Module This module consists of the SCU board and related software to: Control the system. Provide the maintenance serial port and network port for maintenance terminals and network management stations to log in to the system. Service Access Module This module consists of the GPBA board and related software to: Implement GPON access and convergence. Work with the main control board to manage ONUs/ONTs. Upstream Interface Module This module consists of the uplink interface boards (GICD, GICE and X1CA) and related software.
