Internship Report Format 3 Internship Report Working Report Advance Working Report Research ReportAnalytical Report

Internship Report Format Working Report: Identifying and describing internship duties in detail. Will only be permitted by his/her supervisor on special cases Possible examples: Participation in particular company projects/campaigns. 4

Advance Working Report 1. Research Report: Research work with stated research questions, hypothesis and hypothesis using statistical tools. Not mandatory to use SPSS (analysis using MS Excel or equivalent is permitted) Research report style resembles BUS 485 project work. 5

Advance Working Report 2. Analytical Report: Analytical applied research paper without hypothesis testing process. Collection of primary and secondary data and descriptive analysis using MS Excel graphs and charts. Report topic should be on the major area of the student. Possible Examples: Financial performance/HR strategy/selling strategy analysis. 6

Descriptive Research Designed to describe the characteristics of persons, events or situations. Answers the questions who, what, where, when and how. Can not describe the cause of a situation/ not applicable for creating causal relationship. Can be both qualitative or quantitative in nature 7

Descriptive Research (Cont.) Technique: Descriptive Statistics: Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, Frequency Distributions Inferential Statistics: Correlation, Regression (Both of these studies attempt to describe the existing relationship between variables. These statistics do not mean that one variable causes a change in another variable) 8
