4 Lisbon Treaty: an 8-year process 2004: Constitutional Treaty signed in Rome 2005: French and Dutch voters reject the Constitutional Treaty 2007: Lisbon Treaty signed 2008: Irish voters reject the Lisbon Treaty 2009: Irish voters accept the Lisbon Treaty, and Czech Republic is the last country to ratify it
