Library Science 111: Introduction to Information Literacy in an Electronic Environment Hybrid class First time teaching this class in face-to- face At Gadsden Education Center Dual-Credit students Computer Lab Online actual exercises!

I had to add more curriculum because class normally taught in mini-semester format and online! Wondered how well students understood concepts in L SC 111??? Wanted something quick, easy, and technological…

Something that enabled Instructor-to- student instant communication; ! Quick, effective, two way but most of all… Shared learning

10 minute Writing/Thinking Exercises Used for: –Recalling information –Requires critical thinking, where decisions and explanations take place. –Great to begin class!

Could also be used as: Performance task exercise or skill practice (timed) Assesses individual mastery of course & gen. ed. competencies in: Critical Thinking & Effective Communication
