FAMILIES IN NORTH AMERICA

A long time ago.... Mom, Dad, and kid(s)

And Now.... FAMILY!

Inuit Families

Inuit Children are part of a Larger Family Being a family is more than just having parents

For the Inuit Families are the people that you spend time with, who you share food, and shelter with Because of this most children have adopted siblings or have siblings that were given in adoption to others in the community

This larger family structure also means that children have lots of family, young and old, to spend time with.

Families in the Philippines Calgary Philippines

Tagalog children live in barrios not towns or cities. They are kind of like villages or big neighbourhoods. Tagalog is one of the languages in the Philippines.

Most families have a mom and dad and kids. But the whole barrio can be like a big family

Cooking and washing are done outside so everyone sees everyone else a lot!

Older children care for younger children.
