 NERVOUS SYSTEM –  Brain (very small) and nerves – reflex responses and communication throughout the body for homeostasis  CIRCULATORY SYSTEM  Heart, arteries, veins – transport oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, wastes  Countercurrent heat exchange – redirects heated blood back to body core to prevent heat loss in extremities (reason why leatherbacks can tolerate colder waters)
