prehistoric Prehistoric is a term often used to describe the period before written history : meaning human socities without writing or widespread written records

STONEHENGE Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English country of Wiltshire, about 3.2 kilometres (8.1mi) north of Salisbury. New archaeological evidence found by the Stonehenge Riverside Project indicates that Stonehenge served as a burial ground.

TIME LINE OF HUMAN PREHISTORIC. The three-age system divides human technological prehistoric into three periods : The stone age, Bronze age, Iron age. Historical period (written record begins). The term Bronze Age refers to a period in human cultural development when the most advanced metalworking (at least in systematic and widespread use) included techniques for smelting copper and tin from naturally-occurring outcroppings of copper ores, and then smelting those ores to cast bronze. These naturally-occurring ores typically

included arsenic as a common impurity. Copper/tin ores are rare, as reflected in the fact that there were no tin bronzes in Western Asia before 3,000 BC. The Bronze Age forms part of the three- age system for prehistoric societies. In this system, it follows the Neolithic in some areas of the world. The Bronze Age is the earliest period of which we have direct written account, since the invention of writing coincides with its early beginning. In archaeology, the Iron Age was the stage in the development ferrous metallurgy. The adoption of iron coincided with over changes in some past societies often including differing agricultural practices, religious beliefs and artistic styles, which make the archaeological Iron Age, coincide with the “Axial Age” in the history of philosophy.

Nyatakan ciri-ciri binaan STONEHENGE dan huraikan juga fungsi dan kepercayaan yang wujud bersamanya. Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, about 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Amesbury and 8 miles (13 km) north of Salisbury. One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is the remains of a ring of standing stones set within earthworks. Archaeological evidence found by the Stonehenge Riverside Project in 2008 indicates that Stonehenge could have been a burial ground from its earliest beginnings. The site is a place of religious significance and pilgrimage

Whatever religious, mystical or spiritual elements were central to Stonehenge, its design includes a celestial observatory function, which might have allowed prediction of eclipse, solstice, equinox and other celestial events important to a contemporary religion. Another theory, brought forth in 2012, suggests that the monument was intended to unify the different peoples of the British island. This theory suggests that the massive amount of labour involved in the construction of Stonehenge necessitated inter-regional cooperation, especially as many of the stones were moved over very long distances, for example from quarries in Wales.

Give the definition of the terminologies below History Pre-historic Civilization Artifact

History is an umbrella term that relates to past events as well as the discovery, collection, organization, and presentation of information about these events.

Prehistory is the span of time before recorded history or the invention of writing systems. Prehistory can refer to the period of human existence before the availability of those written records with which recorded history begins.

Civilization is a sometimes controversial term that has been used in several related ways. Primarily, the term has been used to refer to the material and instrumental side of human cultures that are complex in terms of technology, science, and division of labor. In a classical context, people were called “civilized” to set them apart from barbarians, savages, and primitive peoples while in a modern-day context, “civilized peoples” have been contrasted with indigenous peoples or tribal societies.
