Unit 3 Long Division Review

Miss Rosner made 48 cookies for Alyssa’s birthday. She put an equal number of cookies in 8 plastic bins so Alyssa could carry them to school. Write an equation that could be used to find out how many cupcakes are in each bin. Question #1

48 ÷ 8 = c (or you can use any variable in place of “c”)

Miss Rosner, Ms. Cole, Mrs. Flett, and Mrs. Boundy are planning a field trip to the zoo. They are planning on reserving buses to take all 94 students and 4 teachers. There will be 7 buses. If we put an equal amount of people on each bus, how many people can fit on each bus? Question #2.

94 Students + 4 Teachers= 98 Total People 98 people ÷ 7 buses = 14 People on Each Bus Answer: 14 People on Each Bus

Miss Rosner does odd jobs each month to earn extra money. This month, she earned $68 selling Thirty –One bags, $94 tutoring students, and $136 cleaning her neighbor’s house. Each month she puts half of the money she earns into the bank toward her girls’ college education. How much money did she save this month? Question #7
