Split quote- is a quote that is split by having a speaker tag in the middle of the quote Example: “Spaying and neutering,” explained the vet, “help curb pet overpopulation.” Non Example: The vet said, “Make sure your dog is well fed.”

Why is it important to understand Split Quotes? It helps us to become better writers and readers
