3 Erasmus+ /Youth in Action Duration of the new European programme: – Brings together numerous programmes: LLP (Grundtvig, Erasmus, Leonardo, Comenius ), Youth in Action and the International higher education programmes 3

4 Opportunities in the Youth Field: –Supporting learning mobility activities: -> youth exchanges, -> European Voluntary Services (EVS), -> mobility of Youth Workers –Developing the quality in youth work: -> strategic partnerships, -> cross sectorial strategic partnerships, -> transnational Youth Initiatives, –Creating a stronger link between the EU Programmes and policy: -> structured dialogues projects

5 Youth exchanges: –young people aged 13 to 30, plus their leaders, –minimum 16 and maximum 60 participants, leaders not included, –5 to 21 days, excluding travel time, –Where: Programme Countries -> EU Member States, EFTA Countries, Macedonia, Turkey Neighbouring Partner Countries -> Eastern Partnership Countries, Southern Mediterranean countries, Western Balkan countries, Russian Federation

6 European Voluntary Service (EVS): –young people aged 17 to 30 years, –projects may involve 1 or 2 volunteers or up to the 30 volunteers per project, –Standard EVS: 2 – 12 months –Short-term EVS for young people with fewer opportunities or involving ten or more young people: 2 weeks – 2 months, –Where: Programme Countries -> EU Member States, EFTA Countries, Macedonia, Turkey Neighbouring Partner Countries -> Eastern Partnership Countries, Southern Mediterranean countries, Western Balkan countries, Russian Federation

7 Mobility of Youth Workers: –supports the professional development of youth workers: seminars, training courses, contact-making events, study visits, job shadowing –youth workers, no age limits, –minimum 50 participants including facilitators, –2 days to 2 months, excluding travel time, –Where: Programme Countries -> EU Member States, EFTA Countries, Macedonia, Turkey Neighbouring Partner Countries -> Eastern Partnership Countries, Southern Mediterranean countries, Western Balkan countries, Russian Federation

8 Strategic Partnership: –can be a reasonable simple cooperation project between small organisations, –can be a complex partnership aimed at developing and exchanging innovative practice and outputs across the field of education training and youth, –non-profit organisation, youth associations or NGO’s, …, –can last between 6 months and 2 years, –2 organisations from different Programme Countries, –Where: Programme Countries -> EU Member States, EFTA Countries, Macedonia, Turkey Neighbouring Partner Countries -> under certain conditions

9 Cross Sectorial Strategic Partnership: –similar in structure and design to a strategic partnership project, –defining element is the quality and level of co-operation across fields of Education, Training and Youth, –non-profit organisation, youth associations or NGO’s, …, –can last between 6 months and 2 years, –2 organisations from different Programme Countries, –Where: Programme Countries -> EU Member States, EFTA Countries, Macedonia, Turkey Neighbouring Partner Countries -> under certain conditions

10 Transnational Youth Initiative: –a project which is the idea of the young people, is set up, managed and implemented by the young people, –can be a blended mobility combining short-term physical mobility (less than 2 months) with virtual mobility, –2 organisations from different Programme Countries, –each partner must involve a minimum of 4 young people aged , –can last between 6 months and 2 years, –Where: Programme Countries -> EU Member States, EFTA Countries, Macedonia, Turkey

11 Structured Dialogue Projects: –encourages the actives participation of young people in democratic life f. e.: meetings and discussions between young people and decisions-makers/youth policy-makers, national meetings and transnational seminars,consultation of young people, … –young people aged 13 – 30 and policy/decision makers, –non-profit organisations, youth assocaitions, NGO’s and public bodies, –can last between 3 months and 2 years, –Where: Programme Countries -> EU Member States, EFTA Countries, Macedonia, Turkey and Partner Countries
