St. Augustine Trip Parent Information Meeting

Finances Cost of Trip Fundraising O The cost for students will be $225 quad occupancy. O Chaperones will be $245 quad occupancy. O $100 deposit due Jan. 16, O Remaining amount will be due in late March. O Last day for refunds will be April 30. O We are working on fundraising to help students defray the cost of the trip. Ideas and volunteers are greatly appreciated.

Student Responsibility O Students will be expected to behave in a way that represents them, their parents, their teachers and Pine View in the best way. O Students must respect and follow the directions of their chaperones. O Students must be prepared to do a lot of walking and have a great time! O Students receiving a behavior referral in the 4 th quarter will not be eligible for the field trip.

Chaperones O All chaperones must be PALS approved. O All chaperones must have Level II clearance. This is completed at the Landings at a cost of $38. This clearance is good for 5 years. O Chaperones must be willing to put in two very busy and active days with their group. O Chaperones will be responsible for supervising their small group and making sure students are safe and respectful during the tours.

Rooming O Rooms are quad occupancy. O 1 chaperone with 3 students of same gender per room. O In order to make it work we will need enough chaperones of both sexes. O Parents of students of opposite gender will have to get a private room. ($285 student/$344 adult)

Schedule O May 26, 6:30 a.m. – Board buses at Pine View O 7:00 a.m. – Buses leave PV O 11:30 a.m. – Arrive St. Augustine O May 27, 4:00 – p.m. – Board buses at St. Augustine Visitors Center O 8:30 p.m. arrive back at PV

Students not attending the field trip. O Students who do not go to St. Augustine will spend the two days with Ms. Myers. O They will do activities relating to St. Augustine and Florida history.
