 It promotes the value of LOVE.  Children and teachers join together in friendship.  Learning becomes enjoyable.  It improves memory.  It instills a feeling of peace.

 It puts the human system in harmony and rhythm.  Children realize the value of co-operation.  Adds to the confidence of the child.  Songs remain in the mind, reminding children of their values and actions.  They remove barriers and promote peace.

 Songs can vary in nature.  They can be calypsos, rap, folk, patriotic or can be composed.  Poems can be created in the class and a tune can be applied to the words.  Tapes of songs can be used if it is more comfortable for the teacher.
