1 DAY OF LANGUAGES 30 Years of Erasmus
Osnovna škola Bartola Kašića Vinkovci Erasmus + project Young Enterprising Europeans DAY OF LANGUAGES 30 Years of Erasmus January 2017

2 Erasmus started in 1987 as a student mobility programme
Erasmus started in 1987 as a student mobility programme. This platform for European and international mobility and cooperation brings people from different backgrounds together. It provides them with the competences needed to lead independent, fulfilling lives and helps them find their place in our societies and develop a sense of a European identity In 2014 many programmes were combined into one: Erasmus will be a year of celebrating all the things Erasmus+ has achieved so far, but also a year to reflect on the future Europe we can build together! We joined the celebration on January 26 with our Day of languages because it is important to learn as many languages as we can if we want to be real citizens of Europe.

3 Osnovna škola Bartola Kašića has been doing international projects for 10 years. We were partners in Comenius mulitilateral project WET, Water Europe’s Treasure and Erasmus+ project Young Citizens of Europe – Our Future. Now we are taking part in Erasmus + project Young Enterprising Europeans with schools from Greece, Italy, Poland and Slovenia Students prepared a performance for all students, teachers and parents: songs, poems, rap music in English and German.

6 Poems in English We are the children of this world
We are the children of this world. We are the grown-ups of tomorrow. Let's make the world a better place Without poverty and sorow. Why don't you stop the wars and build more schools? How can we learn To live together? We want to listen To each other. We want to live In peace forever. We are the children of this world. We are the grown-ups of tomorrow. Let's make the world a better place Without poverty and sorrow.

7 Have a dream It's true that I love my school, And my teachers are OK
Have a dream It's true that I love my school, And my teachers are OK. But every now and then I start To dream in the middle of the day. Then I see a wonderful world. People have enough to eat. Everywhere are parks and woods Where we all can go and meet. There are only happy kids. There are friendly grown-ups,too. And parents have a lot of time To listen to me and you. I'm sure you love your school, And your teachers are OK. But why don't you just close your eyes? Have a dream in the middle of the day!

8 I love reading I love reading, reading, reading
I love reading I love reading, reading, reading. Yeah, I love reading books. It is true that I'm a bookworm. My books are my best friends. I read and read and read Until a story ends. There are lions, there are horses, There are monsters, big and small, I just open up a book And I can see them all. There are islands, there are castles, There are people, short and tall, I just open up a book And I can see them all. I love reading, reading, reading. Yeah, I love reading books.

9 Rapping in English Pupils wrote the lyrics themselves.
