Colorado River  What is a water shed?  What watershed do we live in?  An area that gets its water from one source.  We live in the Colorado River watershed

Colorado River  What is a continental divide?  A mountain range that separates two different water sheds.  The Rocky mountains are the continental divide for our country.  We rely on the snow that falls on the western side of the Rocky mountains

Colorado River  What states rely on the Colorado River watershed?  What other country relies on the Colorado River?  Upper Basin states: Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico  Lower Basin states: Nevada, Arizona, California  Mexico
