The Kindergarten class in a small town in the middle of Illinois farm country investigated the grain elevators across the road from their school. Typically the grain elevators wer alongside the railroad where trains stop frequently to be loaded with corn. The children did an extensive project this topic and learned a great deal about something they had never looked at before, even though they passed by it every day.
