What is the problem?  Lack of political buy-in at the level of the minister  Resistance of signature of MoU by a monopolistic potato seed company.  Potato seed company is against all the principles of regional integration to maintain monopoly - fears competition from South Africa.

Overall aim  Secure political buy-in and support of all relevant stakeholders.

Specific Objectives  To secure buy-in of potato seed stakeholders.  To gain political buy-in at Ministerial level in order to have the MoU signed.  To have legislation gazetted and enacted.  To promote civic education to increase public awareness.
