National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) Welcome Speechies! Please sign in! There are more than one sign up sheets!

Membership  Dues are $15  Print out the membership form from the website, fill it out  Turn it in with your dues to Samantha Bowyer’s mailbox, in the Student Workroom(Bachelor Room 8) by September 23 rd !

Chair Application forms  If you are interested in becoming a NSSLHA chair, print out the forms from the website and turn it in to Brooke Bonner’s mailbox, Bachelor Student Workroom (Room 8) by September 14 th !  Committee Chairs include: Community Service, Social, Fundraising, Public Relations, and Educational Programming

Changes to the bylaws  Last year, NSSLHA members voted to approve a few changes made to the bylaws

1 st Change: Inactive/Active Member Status  Exact statement: Membership in the local chapter of NSSLHA will be characterized by either inactive or active. In addition to receiving points for attendance at meetings, community service, and social opportunities, students may obtain active member status. An inactive member just pays dues and attends meetings. The distinction of active member is received after a member pays dues, attends meetings, attends one community service event, and attends one fundraising and/or social event per semester (12 weeks)

2 nd Change: Running for President  Exact statement: To be eligible to run for the position of President, the NSSLHA member must have spent a year working in an executive position, chair position, or has participated in other leadership opportunities directly related to the local NSSLHA chapter.

NSSLHA Conference!  This year’s NSSLHA conference will be hosted by Baldwin Wallace (in Berea, OH)  Saturday, October 8 th  8:00 am-4:00 pm  $20- includes lunch and a t-shirt (make checks payable to BW NSSLHA  NEED to RSVP to Brooke before September 20 th

Fundraising Opportunity!  September 16 th & 17 th  NSSLHA is scheduled for the Phi Delt gates for a grilled cheese sale!  We need members to donate bread and cheese and members to help sell!!  Drop off bread and cheese in the Student work room (Bachelor Room 8) by September 16 th at 4:00 pm  Contact Theresa Wharton for more information

Community Service Opportunity!  Cincinnati Walks for Kids - October 15 th at Coney Island  We would like to set up teams to walk!  Contact Hannah Eppley if

Big/ Little  If you are interested in signing up for Big/Little, sign up at the front!  Freshmen are paired with Juniors  Sophomores are paired with Seniors

Working with Justin  We need people to help work with Justin this year!  $15/hour—1 hour/week
