NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) When does it apply? How can I help? CEQA helping NEPA?

When does or does not NEPA apply? Did a Federal agency make a “decision”? To fund a specific grant? To allow activities to occur on federally managed lands?

How can you help? Talk to the local Federal agency during the project development stage. Include the costs for surveys and NEPA documentation development in your grant proposal.

CEQA helping NEPA? CEQA is a state act State or local government is responsible NEPA is a federal act Federal agency is responsible Pieces of a CEQA analysis can be used in the development of a NEPA document
