There are many types of frogs. Some are very beautiful………

But some are very ugly.

The life cycle of a frog has seven steps.

The first step is to mate. Males climb on the females’ back and hug them. This is called an amplexus and it can last several days.

The frogs lay their eggs in masses. Then the tadpole is born.

Gills appear.

External gills disappear and legs and arms form. It is now called a froglet.

The tail starts to shrink and then the frog can go on land.

The frog is a vertebrate because it has a backbone. Sometimes it is hard to believe because some frogs are as small as a thumbnail.
