Vignette education/lessonPlans/darkroom/meeting9.sh tml education/lessonPlans/darkroom/meeting9.sh tml

Texture screening Placing a “texture” or covering agent onto the photo paper or onto a clear piece of acetate in order to create a textured appearance to an image

movement Using several exposures, move paper in small increments at the end of each exposure to give a sense of moving.

Solarization Reduce normal exposure time by 1/2. Place in developer for approx. 30 seconds and then expose to light once again for the remaining ½ of exposure time and redevelop for at least 20 more seconds.

Drawing Draw onto clear acetate or directly onto photopaper to create different affects. Use different media for different affects….ink wash, pencil, sharpie, etc

Collage Create a collage of text and imagery onto clear acetate and place on top of photo paper

Vary developer Paint the developer or spray the developer on photo paper instead of full pan development

Color Add color to processing pans water and tint imagery
