Coral Reefs Chris Johansen

Coral Reef Endangerment Coral Reefs are in danger of being wiped out by human activity

Scuba Diving Divers pose one of the lesser threats on the reef If divers are careful about not touching anything or hitting their fins off of anything the coral is not bothered Divers are falsely accused for the majority of reef damage

Boats Boats and boat anchors are a much bigger effect on the reef Boats that run aground or get to close to shallow reefs will damage them severely Boats who do not use the set anchors near reefs and put their own out instead damage the reef badly too This is a big cause of coral reef damage

Pollution Chemicals being dumped into the ocean around the world is killing the coral The chemicals choke off everything in the reef Fish which need the reef as much as the reef needs them die as well as the coral Pollution is the biggest factor in the damage of coral reefs
