What is Holi? Festival of Colours. What does Holi mean? Burning.

The tradition of coloring each other,

The celebration of Holi has different aspects: 1. It is a celebration of the triumph of good over evil, 2. A carnival of colors, 3. A community festival, 4. And a tradition of ancient spring rites. The grand finale takes place on the full moon day of Phalguna.

(getting ready) The evening of bonfires: The day before the full moon day of the Holi is called as the Small Holi. Children lit up bonfires and sing and dance around it. The evil spirit, symbolized by all those dead leaves, twigs, dirt and filth that collects during the winter months, is thrown up in the fire.Holispirit

victory of good over evil Story of Holika: The demon king Hiranyakashyap wished to end his blessed son, Prahlad's life with the help of his sister, Holika, who got burnt in the fire and no harm occurred to Prahlad. Since then the day is celebrated in victory of good over bad.

The Legend Story of Radha and Krishan: The legend of Radha and Krishna is closely linked with this tradition of colors on Holi. Young Krishna, who had a dark complexion was jealous of his beloved Radha's extremely fair skin. In a mischievous mood, he applied color on Radha's face.

Please play Holi but do not disturb me. No one is spared

Holi is to spread happines, forgiveness on this day and burning of internal And external dirt both.
