Happy Easter, Dear Friend! We're so excited that you're celebrating Easter with us! It's such a neat time of the year! Flowers are blooming, trees are budding, and eggs are hatching. There just seems to be new life everywhere! This is also the time of year that we celebrate the new life of Jesus Christ. Two thousand years ago, the Son of God died for us, Dear Friend. He died so that our sins could be forgiven. But that wasn't the end of the story. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead! His new life is the reason we celebrate Easter. He also gives us new life. If you want this new life in Christ, Dear Friend, all you have to do is ask Jesus to forgive your sins and come live in your heart. And you know what, Dear Friend? Jesus will do it right away! He loves us so much! So, let's have a Happy Easter in Him! An Easter message just for you

Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the most important feast in the Christian calendar. The churches are filled with worshipers, the altars are decorated with flowers, and the music proclaims the joy of the season.

EASTER BUNNY European legend says that the hare never closed its eyes and watch the other animals throughout the night. It became a symbol of the moon. The hare is connected with Easter because the celebration date depends upon the full moon.

Would you like to know a secret? Well, I'll tell you one I know: The Easter's Bunny's coming, My mama told me so. He'll bring a basket filled with eggs And leave it in my yard, And I will find it Easter morn, If I look very hard. I shouldn't tell my secret, But I think it should be shared. You ought to know that Bunny's coming, So you can be prepared! Secret Information

According to an old German story, a poor woman hid some brightly colored eggs in her garden as Easter treats for children. While the children were searching, a hare hopped past. The children thought that the hare had left the eggs. So every Easter, German children would make nests of leaves and branches in their gardens for the hare. This custom was brought to the United States when the Germans came. The hare became a rabbit because there were more rabbits in the United States. Today, it is called the Easter bunny.

In England, the goddess of spring, Easter had an earthly symbol whic h was the rabbit. She was worship by the Anglo- Saxons through her earthly symbol. The Easter bunny also has to do with its Christian origin. The hare were very fertile animals and gave birth to many offspring in spring. Therefore, the bunny served as a symbol of new life during the Spring season

EASTER EGGS One of the best-known Easter symbols is the egg, which has symbolized renewed life since ancient days. The egg is said to be a symbol of life because in all living creatures life begins in the egg. The Persians and Egyptians also colored eggs and ate them during their new year's celebration, which came in the spring. Today many people still color Easter eggs and decorate them with fancy patterns and symbols. The sun symbolizes good fortune; the rooster, fulfillment of wishes; the deer, good health; the flowers, love and charity.

The cross was also a well- known symbol before the time of Christ. It was used a special mark on clothes and buildings. However, when Jesus was crucified, the cross became a symbol of suffering. Then with the resurrection of Christ, the Christians saw it as a symbol of Jesus's victory over death. In A.D. 325, Constantine at the Council of Nicaea issued a decree that the Cross is the official symbol of Christianity CROSS
