Objectives  The Student will 1. Understand the different methods for adding a slide to a PowerPoint presentation 2. Understand how create nested lists in PowerPoint.

PowerPoint – Adding Slides  3 ways to add a new slide: Click the “New Slide” button from the Slides group on the Home tab CNTL-M Place the cursor on or between slides on the Tabs pane and hit Enter

PowerPoint – Adding Slides  When you add a new slide PowerPoint uses the standard Title and Content slide layout.  You can pick a different layout by clicking in the Slides group on the Home tab but for today you will simply use the Title and Content layout

PowerPoint – Bullet Lists  Once you have created a Slide you should click and add a slide title  Then Click in the text box and you can begin building your text list. Simply enter a line and hit Enter to get the next bullet  Use the Increase Indent to create the next level of bullet (or the Tab key) Like this… PowerPoint will adjust the bullet and font. To return to the previous level click on the Decrease Indent button. (or the Shift-Tab key)

Summary  There are different ways to add a slide to your presentation. Find the way that works for you.  Use the increase indent and decrease indent buttons to control the levels in bullet or number lists.

Rest of Today  Open your HW5-2 file from Wednesday  Download “Sec Homework Instructions” from the Hancock Website. Complete all the instructions  If you finish before the bell, type in Mavis Beacon for the remainder of the time.
