By: Marissa, Melissa, Alayna,Zack, and Keaton CHAPTER 14

 In chapter 14 Aunt Alexandra moves in with Scout, Jem and Atticus. Also Scout wants to go over Calpurnia's house after church but Aunt Alexandra wont let her go. We think that Aunt Alexandra is racist because she doesn’t want the kids around or involved with Calpurnia because of her skin. Also aunt Alexandra wants to be the mother figure and take control of the kids and make everything her way. Later on in the chapter Dill finds his way back to Maycomb. Dill told Scout he ran away from home because he didn’t like his father and he chained Dill to the wall in the basement. Dill stole 13 dollars from his mother’s purse and took a train to a city in Alabama 11 miles from Maycomb. CHAPTER 14 SUMMARY

 Jem- changing into a teenage attitude. Also he just wants to stay in his room and be alone.  Dill- still wants Boo Radley to come out of his house. He became more independent.  Atticus- became more strict. He also became more like a father and less like a friend. DEVELOPING CHARACTERS

 Our important quote is “From rape, to riot, to runaways I wonder what the next 2 hours will bring  There is a lot of chaos in Maycomb. And used to be the tired and predictable town has become unpredictable. IMPORTANT QUOTE

 What do you think Dill’s parents are going to do about home running away?  Why do you think Dill’s father chained Dill to the basement?  Do you think that Aunt Alexandra will ever like Calpurnia or trust her with the kids? THREE QUESTIONS TO ASK

 We chose “Where the Wild Things Are” to relate our chapter to the real world   We chose that video clip because both boys run away from there homes because of personal reasons RELATING TO THE REAL WORLD
