TCCN Reporting TCCN Awards & DySPAN 2010 Petri Mähönen (with apologies not being able to join you)

TCCN Recognition Award Setup by TCCN to recognize significant contributions Target to give the first award in 2010 – possible during DySPAN 2010 “The recognition award can be given to one or more individuals who have made significant contributions to cognitive communications community. The significant contributions can be done either through research, leadership, and/or meritorious and distinguished service for the research community.”

TCCN Recognition Award We will solicit soon (July) through TCCN -list the nominations – The nominations of the awards need to be justified, and must include also a short paragraph (no more than 100 words) that is summarizing the reason for nomination” – The nominee needs to be a member of IEEE Communications Society or any of ComSoc’s sister societies in order to be eligible for the award. – Self-nominations are not accepted The award committee will review the nominations and make decision, to be approved by the TCCN chair. – It is also possible for award committee not to grant any recognition award(s) in any given year.

DySPAN 2010 April , Singapore As previous years technology and policy tracks Paper submission due: 15 th of October Premier event to show cognitive radio work Posters sessions will be strengthened this year – No quality difference between oral and poster papers – Poster sessions are dedicated plenary sessions – Also presenters of oral papers can bring in poster Full day of tutorials (6 tutorials) Planning is progressing as expected. We have also a strong TPC to guarantee high quality program. Any suggestions or comments related to technical program can be send to Petri Mähönen (RWTH)
