Virginia Mentoring Partnership Fall Campaign 2012

Virginia Mentoring Partnership Fall Campaign Goal- Raise $20,000 in new or returning funds from individuals and other sources by December 31, 2012

Broad Campaign Goals: 200 new touches by members of Board (10 per board member) $1,000 per board member raised with staff assistance

Campaign Tactics: 1. Amazing Raise-(September ) 2. General Campaign-(September 21- November 21) 3. Year-End Campaign-(November 21- December 31)

Amazing Raise September 19 and 20 Board member requests: Solicit friends, family, and colleagues for minimum donation of $50 through Amazing Raise (VMP staff to provide sample text) Like VMP on Facebook and share Facebook, Twitter and messages provided by VMP staff Total goal-Each Board member to solicit 5 people equates to $5,000 to be raised or 100 -$50.00 contributions Materials can be found at vamentoring.org/board

General Campaign September 21-November 21 Board member requests: Identify friends, family, and colleagues who might support VMP with gifts of $100-$250 Utilize letters for mail or (VMP staff will provide) Follow-up letters with phone-call or Consult with VMP staff on any pledges/commitments Review existing list of VMP donors and identify those you have relationships with Total goal-Each Board member to solicit 2.5 people equates to $10,000 to be raised or 50 -$ contributions (avg)

Year End Campaign November 21-December 31 Board member requests: Consult with VMP staff to identify list of individuals, businesses, faith community and civic contacts that could be solicited for gifts above $250 Work closely with staff to ensure that strategies are tailored to each of your contacts Total goal-$ 5,000 or 5 gifts of $1,000 or more
