Presentation transcript:

characters The invisible man, also known as Griffin, is a young scientist who goes crazy trying to become invisible and famous. He is an albino, which makes it easier for his invisibility formula to work. Mrs. Hall and her husband are the first people who “see” Griffin after he is invisible. He uses their inn as a lab, before he goes crazy and tears up the town. Mr. Marvel is a homeless man who gets forced to steal for Griffin until he escapes from him. Kemp is an old college mate of Griffin, who helps him for one night. When Griffin talks about killing people, Kemp helps catch him.

Plot summary The Invisible Man arrives at a small town dressed as a stranger covered in bandages, and he gets a room at Mrs. Hall’s inn. He does strange experiment and soon everybody becomes suspicious of him because he looks like criminal hiding his face. One night he steals from the Vicar and Mrs. Hall knows he was not in his room; the next day he takes off his bandages and everyone realizes he can be invisible, so they try to arrest him for robbery. He takes off his clothes to escape.

Plot summary continued. With Marvel’s help, the Invisible Man went back to Iping to get his stuff. When he was there, he attacks town people and destroys a lot of property. The Invisible Man goes mad and began stealing from everyone, and someone shoots at him when he tries to hurt Marvel. He sneaks into a doctor’s house, then he realizes he knows Dr. Kemp. The next day he tells how he made the discovery of being invisible. Griffin (the Invisible Man) tells Kemp he wants to kill people. Kemp tries to trap him, but he runs away and murders someone while the whole towns looking for him. He comes back to kill Kemp, but gets injured and a bunch of townspeople catch him. He dies becomes visible again.

Rating I give this book 4 out of 4 Invisible Men because I’m interested by the plot. It’s gross and kind of funny. Also, I like H.G. Wells because he is one of the earliest science fiction authors.
