New guide, NOT new edition *This publication is not yet required of students. The library is working on obtaining a site license from APA so that it is available electronically to NSU community. The following information is to highlight some of the forthcoming changes. Please wait for official announcement from FSEHS to implement all these rules.

General Rules Include same elements, in the same order, as used in a “fixed-media” source. Add as much electronic retrieval information as needed for others to locate the sources you cite. Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) Content on the Internet tends to move or be deleted, so scholarly publishers have begun assigning a DOI to journal articles. Unique alphanumeric string assigned which provides a persistent link Link to article if have authorized access OR Abstract and article for purchase When a DOI is available, include the DOI instead of the URL in the reference.
