WMU Radio Information about western’s radio station

A Brief history WIDR was first aired from a trailer in 1952 and was only available to WMU residents. By the 60’s WIDR was on AM air dial and considered one of the best campus stations. By 1975 WIDR went on FM dial and were considered the #1 station in Kalamazoo. WIDR continues to be one of the areas only non-commercial radio stations.

inside widr WIDR plays a variety of non-commercial music. Employees of WIDR are not paid they are students that do it for there own pleasure. WIDR also brings their listeners up coming events and news. Tune your radio to 89.1 FM to hear some great non- commercial music.
