Introduction Like other Biblical words, “the world” carries different meanings, depending upon the context. Like other Biblical words, “the world” carries different meanings, depending upon the context. Sometimes it refers to the realm of nature; sometimes it identifies the family of mankind; sometimes it describes the sphere of sin.
