What is Chemistry? One of the three main subjects which you are studying now in your Science Lessons: o Physics (compulsory- all students learn physics) o Biology (option) o Chemistry (option)

What is Chemistry? Teaches us about what is happening around us and explains why. For example: o Different types of matter o The atmosphere o Pollution o Rusting o Fuels o Energy

Who should choose Chemistry?  Who gets good marks in Science  Who is good in Maths  Who likes doing experiments  Who likes to do research and ask questions about the world around us

What will the lessons be like?  4 lessons per week – 2 double lessons  Always in the Chemistry Laboratory  Theory and Experiments  Write a report after we do an experiment  Need to study regularly  Pay attention to details  Be neat in HW and Laboratory Reports
