Role play Role play  An instance or situation in which one deliberately acts out or assumes a particular character or role.

Example Explain about AIDS to the villagers(uneducated). It is done by role play(drama).

How it works Role playing is when a group of people act out roles for a particular scenario. For instance: You might train sales people by having two people act out a sale-scenario. One acts as the sales person. The other acts as the customer. This allows trainee sales people to practice their sales techniques. A trainer and/or other trainees may watch the role play and critique it afterwards.

How it works(cont’d) Team role-playing is similar, except that two or more teams actively participate For instance: A software company learns that customers are unhappy with customer support and this is causing a loss of customers. In order to improve customer support, the company decides to use team role playing.

Team Role Playing Team role playing is an excellent exercise for… Analysing problems from various perspectives Developing team-work. Co-operation and creative problem solving in groups.

Necessities Good script. Mutual understanding between one another.

Do’s & Don'ts Do’s: Warm up before play. The voice should be audible during play. The facial expression should be good. The dialogues should be simple and clear. Don'ts: Over acting. Forgetting the dialogues. Stage fear.

Advantages Good communication skill. Overcome stage fear. Explore our talents. Everyone can understand easily.

Disadvantages We cannot explain everything dramatically.
