The Etruscans Mrs. McGannWorld History

1.Around 800 bc settled in Etruria. 2.borrowed alphabet from Greeks, but spoke a different language from everyone else. 3. dug tunnels and built dams to drain fields; built cities on hilltops w/ a wall.

4. 1 st civilized people in Italy “People of the Sea”. 5. were pirates and traders.

7. Used copper, lead, iron, and tin to make weapons, utensils, & jewelry.
