JewishGen Hungarian Special Interest Group 2007 Report
Mission JewishGen's Hungarian Special Interest Group (H-SIG) is for those with Jewish roots in the area known as "greater Hungary" or pre-Trianon Hungary and covers all those areas that were part of Hungary before World War I. This includes all of present-day Hungary and Slovakia and lands that are now within Romania, the Ukraine, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia.

Accomplishments H-SIG is unique because all of our projects are accomplished by volunteers (rather than paid transcribers) We added over 200,000 new records to the AHD (135,544 Claims Conference Records) We updated the H-SIG website with new information.
