Denmark NATALIE GALINDO 12/20/12 PER 6

I was in Denmark visiting some friends. We went to see some famous landforms in Denmark. Some major landforms we saw are Jaylland (the largest landmass in Denmark) and the islands of sjoelland,Fyn,Lolland, Falster, and Bornholm, these are some lakes and are some woodlands. We also went to see the gulf stream. My friends also told me that Denmark was a flat country. My friends told me that Denmark is located between the North and the Baltic seas. I also told learned that there is more than 4 hounded seas and that 90 are inhabited. I rely loved to learn allot about Denmark. GEOGRAPHY

My friends invited my to stay in Denmark for two more weeks and I accepted. During those two weeks I learned a little about the religion my friends or other people in Denmark practice, people practice Christianity, others practice Muslim, and Atheists. My friends Danish hey told me that Danish was also a Scandinavian language. We also celebrated Christmas and New Year. For Christmas we listened to the prime ministers annual speeches and when the tree was lit we singed and dance around the tree. For New Year we did fireworks we also listen to the queens annual speeches. Some things I also did was to do some popular activities like ballet,music,and theater plus other activities. Me and my finds also played soccer, handball, cycling, rowing, and jogging. What my friends and I did for fun was dance, sport activities, and going to the movies. I rely enjoyed spending the holidays with my friends in Denmark. CULURE

My friends and I were discussing about how Danes found out that the oil fields in the north sea had allowed the country to do a trade. We also discussed about the famous products that Danes export for example they export bacon, Lego's, cheese, and other dairy products. These are part of the European union we also discussed about the currency that Danes use whish is Kroner. When we were done we went home. ECONOMY

My friends and I went to a place were we could learn about the government. We learned that the type of government that Denmark has is monarchy. I also learned that the head of the government is Queen Margrethe II and that her title is prime minister. I loved learning lots about Denmark’s government. GOVERNMENT

My friends and I went back to the class to learn more about Denmark. This time I learned a little about Denmark’s history. I learned that in 1864 many territory was lost but the country was still in control as it was before. I liked leaening about Denmark’s history. HISTORY
