Story Telling Elements of a Story
Presentation transcript:

 The setting is at school and also at Juiceteria. It is important because it shows what the story is really about and that is shows character in them and the mood.

 Kevin Physical characteristic:  Brown hair  Eyes  A boy Adjectives  Jealous  Nervous  Nice

 Cash Devine Physical Characteristics 1. Eyes 2. Boy 3. Big Adjectives 1. Flirty 2. Nice 3. Funny

 The conflict is that Kevin wants to ask out Tina but he is nervous and scared. He also has a problem that this guy named Cash Devine keeps flirting with the girl he likes. The type of conflict is Rebellious Jealousy.

 Exposition: Characters; Kevin, Tina, Cash Devine, JonPaul. Setting; School and Juciteria.  Conflict: Kevin wants to ask out Tina but he’s scared and that this guys Cash keeps flirting with Tina.  Rising Action: He’s trying to observe his friends and family to practice asking them out and get to know about dates. Rising Action  Climax: Every time he watches Cash Devine flirt with Tina he always tries to touch her. When Kevin tries to talk to Tina he gets butterflies in his stomach. He works really hard to get her. Kevin makes a cakewalk speed date. He saw Cash Devine get numbers and flirts with girls. So Tina can see the real Cash Devine.  Falling Action: After the cake-walk he didn’t learn anything just to keep the cake walk moving. One day their was a party where everyone was invited, Tina asked out Kevin. She waited days and days to get Kevin’s attention. She also said “ Thanks Kevin for showing me the real Cash.” Kevin was happy and excited. They started dating.

The moral of the story is never get jealous, one day something good will happen to you when the unexpected happens. Supporting details:  Kevin gets jealous. pg ; 12 and 13  Kevin works to get her. ; all of the pages in the book mostly  Kevin and Tina get together. pg; 136

 The point of view the author is using is Omniscient and Limited Omniscient Point of View or First person Narrative. I understand it perfectly because it tells me in their own experience and a narrator whose knowledge is limited to one character, either major or minor, has a limited omniscient point of view.

 The symbolism is a heart and two people together. Why I picked the heart and the two people is because the heart represents love, and Kevin is in love with Tina. The two people represent at the end when they went out.

 The book is worth reading because it’s sort of a romance for kids in some ways. It shows the relationship with boy and girls. It’s a really good book to read. There is also drama in their too. So if you like romance you should read this book.  SO YOU GUYS SHOULD READ THIS BOOK BY GARY PAULSEN!!!

 Thank you everyone who watched this slide. I hope you like it.
