Kid, Kows & more Hayley barker

Beef/cows  Tags: The cows get tags in their ears to identify the cow. So we know who they belong to.  Food : They eat hay that is there energy so when we eat the beef it will give us energy.

Curds & Whey Milk : After hours the milk starts to curd and turning into curds is lick cottage cheese. The cottage cheese is heated to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The cheese takes 2 to1 week maybe even 1 year to harden. We need 3 to 4 servings of dairy every day.

Food safe Germs: Can make you sick. Clean hands: You need to wash your hands after you go to the restroom after you touch an animal it is important to wash your hands. Chill: Your fridge should be 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Your freezer should be 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

Dairy barn  Peaches is 1,000 pounds she is 4 years old she has hade 1 baby. Peaches tongue is 12 inches long she has no top front teeth. Peaches has 4 stomachs.  He used a vacuum to suck the milk out of her utter. He cleaned the utter and the vacuum with hand sanitizer. It takes 8 to 12 minutes to milk peaches.

Pecans  The Indians found pecan fossils. The Indians would step on them when they were camping on the river bank.  Pecan trees can grow up to 60 feet that is as tall as a 6 story building.  Kids would climb the trees to get the nuts down. The kids were littler then the adults the adults were heaver.

Corn  Corn grows all over the world. The three sisters are corn, beans, squash. People would go back every day to the same spot to grind there corn.  Corn oil is a subsist that comes off the grinded corn. She spread the corn on the roof to dry off.

Cotton  Cotton is over 7,000 years old and has been grown in New Mexico since year  The u.s plants million acres and produces million bales of cotton each year (22 million in 2006).  They make gun powder out of cotton. You can make a dollar bill with cotton.

Animals  We saw cows, donkeys, horses, bulls, and longhorns.  The cows were laying down there was two babies laying down by there mom.  The donkeys were in the pin we saw four donkeys some were miniature donkeys and full grown.

Animals  We also saw horses the horses were in the stoles there were alley ways to the outside from the pins.  We saw bulls they were not that big compared to bucking bulls they were not to buck just for looking at.  We saw longhorns they hade long horns there was a baby there and two other longhorns.
