This project was driven by a need to replace a WWII-vintage, tar coated, steel water line Case History: Florin County Water District, Sacramento, California In total, the project will use 400 feet of 8-inch and 1200 feet of 6-inch DR18, C900 pipe.

Assembling the Bulldog joint is the same as assembling a conventional PVC gasketed joint. In this project, a pry bar was used to lever together the joints. Case History: Florin County Water District, Sacramento, California Note, it is recommended that a wooden block be placed between the bar and the pipe’s bell.

Florin pressure tests the pipe installed that day at the end of the day. Bulldog Restraint System offered a simple means of providing joint restraint to facilitate this daily pressure test. Case History: Florin County Water District, Sacramento, California
