GOD IS CALLING US TO BE HIS REPRESENTATIVES

RESPONDING TO GOD’S CALL STEPS WE NEED TO TAKE Make the right relationship with God Rely upon God’s power

MAKE THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD STEP ONE

Relationship with God Isaiah understood what he was really like in contrast to God He felt his own unworthiness A. How did this encounter with the majesty of God change Isaiah’s perceptions and priorities in life? Isaiah 6:1-6

Relationship with God Isaiah’s sin was purged or “atoned.” He had to be made right with God first; only then could the Lord use him B. What was symbolized by Isaiah’s confession and the touching of his lips with the live coal? Isaiah 6:5-7

RELY UPON GOD’S POWER STEP TWO

God’s Power Isaiah immediately responded, “Here am I; send me.” If we are willing to work for Him, God will give us the power A. How did Isaiah respond to God’s call? Isaiah 6:8

God’s Power God wanted Isaiah to call His people to listen, obey, and return to Him, to be healed The Bible is a call of God to return to Him B. How are we to understand what God want Isaiah to do? Isaiah 6:9, 10

SUMMARY WE CAN RESPOND TO GOD’S CALL By making the right relationship with God By relying upon God’s power
