How do you make a homerun sentence? by: NeTassha Rendon

Just like baseball, you have to hit all three bases before you make a homerun! Base 1- Describe (adjective) who or what? Base 2- Did what? Where? Base 3- When? How does a homerun sentence work?

Like so... Describing (adjective) who or what? Did what where? When? HOME!!

Let’s build a homerun sentence!!! Base 1- Describw (adjective) who or what? Batter-up sentence: My dog eats pizza. BASE 1 : My silly dog….eats pizza.

BASE 2 Did what? where? Batter-up sentence- My dog eats pizza. Base 2: My silly dog eats pizza on the couch...

BASE 3 When? Batter-up: My dog eats pizza. Base 3- My silly dog eats pizza on the couch in the afternoon. Keep running your almost home!

HOMERUN!!!!

Now you try? Do you remember all of the bases? Does anyone know a good batter- up sentence?

Great let’s try that sentence! Batter up sentence: Base 1- Describe (adjective) who or what? Base 2- Did what? Where? Base 3- When? How does that sound?

Your safe!

Other examples of homerun sentences 1. The colorful kite soared into the sky one spring day. 2. The metallic spaceship landed on a distant planet after a long journey. 3. That gigantic dinosaur roared at the edge of a mountain one million years ago.
