3 Objectives  Students will be able to define a noun, a verb and an adjective.  Students will be able to identify nouns, adjectives and verbs.  Students will be able to identify the different parts of speech within a sentence.

4 What is a noun?  A noun is a word that identifies a person, a place or a thing. Here are some examples of nouns!  dog  Syracuse  mother  New York  apple  United States of America  school  teacher  Miss Stooks  Wegmans
