VANS CUSTOM CULTURE  VANS CUSTOM CULTURE MISSION  The Vans Custom Culture art competition inspires high school students across the United States to embrace their creativity!!!  It draws attention to the importance of art as an integral part of our schools' focus in the face of shrinking budgets.

COMPETITION OVERVIEW  The first 2,000 U.S.- based public or private high schools to register for Vans Custom Culture according to our official rules will receive four pairs of Vans shoes (106, Sk8-Hi, Slip On and Authentic) to customize!

 Q: IS THERE A SPECIFIC THEME WE HAVE TO FOLLOW?  A: Teachers will submit one pair per theme - art, music, action sports, local flavor.  Remember, action sports is defined as “Boards and Bikes” (skateboarding, BMX, surfing, wakeboarding, etc)  NOT “Stick and Ball” (football, soccer, baseball, etc)!

 Q: DO THE PAIRS NEED TO BE IDENTICAL? EX: WHATEVER IS DONE TO THE LEFT SHOE, DOES THE SAME NEED TO BE DONE TO THE RIGHT?  A: They do not need to be identical, but they should work as a pair.

 CAN WE USE ANY COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS, SUCH AS LOGOS, WHEN CREATING OUR SHOES?  A: No. The design must be 100% original and cannot reference any celebrity likeness or
