WELCOME TO GERMAN Currently offered at Leander High School: German 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, AP and IB

German—The Facts Over 200 million Europeans speak German as their first foreign language. German is THE language to study in the fields of Technology, Chemistry, Music, Philosophy, Psychology and Art.

More Facts… Knowing German improves your knowledge of English. German students are likely to score higher on college entrance exams than others! Famous German speakers: Mozart, Einstein, Freud, Kant, Bach, Jung, Beethoven. Colleges require at least two years of a foreign language. Some German companies in the USA: Daimler Chrysler, BASF, Bayer, Siemens, Porsche, BMW. German increases your job opportunities!!!

Is German hard??? English and German both have the same root, so there are many similar words, such as Schokolade, Rose, Sonne, gut, grün. German is EASY!!!

Who will teach? Ms. Woodbury is from Frankfurt, Germany She has taught levels 1 through 5, AP and IB She has a Bachelor’s in Information Systems from San Diego State University and she is certified in California and Texas. She has several years of teaching experience. She is very knowledgeable and FUN!!!
