2 Genesis 3:4, “YOU WILL NOT SURELY DIE,” Genesis 3:10, “…I WAS AFRAID…” In Genesis 3:4 are the recorded words of a person who Scripture calls ‘the serpent’. In Genesis 3:4 are the recorded words of a person who Scripture calls ‘the serpent’. The words which the serpent spoke were a direct contradiction to what God spoke to Adam in Genesis 2:17, The words which the serpent spoke were a direct contradiction to what God spoke to Adam in Genesis 2:17, “But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.”

11 Genesis 3:4, “YOU WILL NOT SURELY DIE,” Genesis 3:10, “…I WAS AFRAID…” The only thing a Christian is to fear is the Lord…..a reverential fear and respect!!
